YSN Alumnae/i

Alumnae/i Association Board

All graduates of the Yale University School of Nursing are automatically members of the Alumnae/i Association. The Alumnae/i Association connects with students during their first week by hosting events and activities. At commencement, graduates receive the School pin, a gift of the Alumnae/i Association, signifying their achievements and recognizing them as a Yale Nurse.

In Spring 2003, an Alumnae/i Task Force reviewed the structure and program of the Alumnae/i Association and presented recommendations to better meet the needs of alumnae/i , students and the School. The Board of Directors approved the recommendations and has embarked on a strategic plan to implement a comprehensive program which includes alumnae/i networking, recruitment and job placement, mentoring, career development and continuing education activities.

Membership

Members of the YSN Alumnae/i Association Board of Directors are elected annually by the members present at the annual business meeting held during Alumnae/i Reunion Weekend. All YSN alumnae/i are eligible to run for office on the Board. If you are interested in the work of the Board or if you want to share your ideas and suggestions, we encourage you to contact any of the Board members listed below.
