YSN Delegation in Hong Kong

In April Ann Williams, Diane Viens, and Janene Batten visited with the School of Nursing faculty at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The goal of the visit served two purposes. The first was to discuss student and faculty exchanges in the coming years between the two schools. Some of the unique opportunities offered by the School in Hong Kong include a focus in Chinese medicine of which Diane Viens visited the clinic of and became extremely interested. Discussion about forthcoming exchanges continues between the two schools.
The second purpose of the visit was to attend the conference Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing: Paradigms and Dialogue that was being co-hosted by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Nursing. The Conference was attended by nursing professionals from around the world. At one of the breakout sessions Janene Batten (YSN Librarian) presented her paper entitled "EBP in the Classroom: A librarian and faculty collaboration" as a representation of information literacy work done by the Librarian at YSN.
