About Us
The Center for International Nursing Scholarship and Education, formed in 2006, is the focal point for YSN's international health activities. The Center promotes excellence in all aspects of our international work, with an emphasis on collaborative scholarship and thoughtful examination of cross-cultural and cross-border issues. The aims in Scholarship are the development of faculty scholarship in international health and the establishment of externally funded programs of international health research and scholarship. The aims in Education are to develop educationally sound international clinical placements for YSN students, to establish stable sources of funding for these educational experiences and to propose and develop academic programs at YSN for students and scholars seeking a career in international health.
For more information on out international activities, please see our annual report (.pdf) or browse through articles written by students and faculty. Please note that the experiences described in the articles are not necessarily ongoing projects. Contact Susan Barringer to discuss current opportunities and priority development areas.
