Preceptors for GEPN
Yale University School of Nursing GEPN program is accepting Clinical Instructors for 1st year GEPN students.
The Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) is a three-year, full-time course of study that combines preparation in basic nursing with advanced preparation in a clinical specialty and nursing research.
The first year of the program is designed to provide a solid foundation in basic nursing theory, nursing process, biological science, nutrition and pharmacology.
This content is reinforced by clinical experiences in medical surgical nursing, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, maternal newborn, and community health nursing settings.
The curriculum also includes a course that addresses current issues in nursing and health care.
Clinical Instructors are needed for:
- Medical-Surgical nursing (Sept - Dec)
- Psychaitric mental health nursing (Jan-Feb)
- Pediatrics (March - June)
- Maternal Newborn Nursing (March-June)
- Community Health Nursing (July)
Requirements
Candidates must have a master's degree in nursing. Teaching experience is preferred but not required. Preceptors that take a group of five or more students is a paid position.
