About
Karen Bearss received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Florida. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center prior to joining the Yale University School of Nursing as an Associate Research Scientist.
Research Interests
Dr. Bearss’ current research and writing has focused on parent-focused interventions as well as the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatments into community mental health centers. She recently received a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) grant through the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) in order to conduct a study of an intervention for parents who have a preschool-age child with autism and co-occuring disruptive behaviors.
