Sandra Talley is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the Yale School of Nursing (YSN). In addition, Dr. Talley is an Academic Liaison & Research Nurse at Connecticut Mental Health Center in New Haven Connecticut. She is a national and international authority in caring for the underserved mentally ill and in pharmacology. Dr. Talley also is a pioneer advocate for prescriptive writing privileges for psychiatric mental health APRNs for the sole purpose of increasing access to health-care for the mentally ill. She is the editor of the psychopharmacology column in the Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
