Diane is an Associate Professor at YSN and has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 30 years. She has specialized in working with underserved and rural families. She teaches nurse practitioner students both in the classroom and in clinical practice.
Ms. Viens is a native New Englander who lived 20 years in the Southwest. For 42 years she has been a nurse, and a nurse practitioner for 33 years. She has never once regretted entering the profession of nursing which has given her joy from the day she entered it 45 years ago!
Diane C. Viens lives with her partner of 27 years and they have a 23 year daughter, who is an aspiring actor.
