Yale School of Nursing wins two prestigious awards for "Best Magazine"

Yale Nursing Matters Magazine, the official publication of the Yale School of Nursing (YSN), has been selected to receive two prestigious awards in 2004.
The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, selected Yale Nursing Matters as recipient of the 2004 Pinnacle Award for Best Magazine in the Public Media Category.
"We are pleased to present this prestigious award to Yale School of Nursing for its coverage of national and international issues in nursing. This exceptional work is an inspiration to all honor society members and to nurses everywhere," said Honor Society of Nursing President, Daniel J. Pesut, PhD, APRN, BC, FAAN.
YSN will be honored at the Sigma Theta Tau International Chapter Leader Academy meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, November 6, 2004.
Yale Nursing Matters Magazine was also awarded the 2004 Gold Mercury Award for Best Magazine by the Connecticut Valley and Southern Connecticut Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). This is the second consecutive year that YSN has received the PRSA Mercury Award for Best Magazine.
"This year's winners exemplify creative and strategic excellence in public relations, communications and marketing across Connecticut and Westchester County, New York," said Sandy St. Pierre Nessing, Chair of the 2004 Mercury Awards Committee and President-Elect of the PRSA Southern Connecticut Chapter.
YSN was presented with the award during the PRSA Annual Awards Ceremony held in New Haven, Connecticut on June 24, 2004.
