Tracy Kelly has been a pediatric nurse practitioner since graduating from the Yale University post master’s program many years ago. She has practiced pediatric hematology oncology in New Haven and North Carolina. She has also taught physical assessment and pathophysiology in the graduate school of nursing at Duke University. More recently, Tracy moved her pediatric care global, and taught and practiced pediatrics in Rwanda, Tanzania, Mauritania and Sierra Leone. She is interested in finding ways to equalize pediatric care globally and would like to see more young nurses choose global health for their career path. When she is not in Africa, Tracy resides in Chapel Hill North Carolina and is an avid tennis player and committed meditator.
