Advisory Board
Members of the APRNet Advisory Board are responsible for the governance of the network, consistent with the terms of funding and Yale policy. The Board consists of 15 members, including 12 licensed APRNs -- Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) -- who are current APRNet members, and three volunteer community members, with strong minority representation. A community member is defined as a past, present or future patient of the services of an APRN. Board members are elected to three-year terms.

Advisory board positions are those adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of board members present at duly convened Advisory Board Meetings. Regular meetings are held twice a year, in the spring and fall, and take place at YSN.
In addition to the elected Advisory Board, specific efforts to maintain communication with all members of APRNet have been implemented. Such efforts include regular meetings, newsletters, conference calls and list-serves. Board members (and members at-large) also serve on four committees: Membership, Advocacy/Community, Education and Research.
