Barbara Guthrie Recognized for Women's Health Research

Guthrie, PhD, RN, FAAN, YSN Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, has been chosen by the College of Nursing at New York University to receive the 2010 Estelle Osborne Recognition Award. The award is given to alumni who have advanced the professional development of their colleagues, served as role models, and actively participated in professional organizations.

Guthrie will be honored at a ceremony on February 18 in recognition of her extensive research in women's health disparities and gender responsive health promotion. She has also been invited to serve as a guest speaker at the event.

Barbara Guthrie received a PhD in nursing from New York University, a master's of science in nursing from Duquesne University, and her bachelor's degree in nursing from Boston University.
