New Haven Healthy Start Lunch Talk on the film “13th”

Description of Opportunity:

We are excited to start off 2017 and NHHS 20th Anniversary Year with a three-part LUNCHTALK! series. We will be viewing “13th” by filmmaker Ava DuVernay as she explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans. The film will be viewed in three sections as it is a two hour documentary and we would want to respect everyone’s time.  After each part we will spend some time and have an open discussion.

When: Thursday, February 9th, 16th, and 23rd, 2017
Time: 11:00-1:00pm
Where: The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, 70 Audubon St, New Haven, CT
