Delta Mu, the YSN Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society of Nursing, is hosting its annual silent auction today, Thursday, Nov. 1, from 5:30-8:30 PM at the Master’s House, Silliman College. Admission is $20, $5 for students.
Each year, the Delta Mu silent auction features unique treasures, antiques and international gifts to be auctioned off to interested bidders. This years items include a Tiffany lamp, nursing books, handmade jewelry, Hong Kong pearls, a Malawi wall hanging, and much more. To view a slideshow of this year's auction items, visit here.
The event also marks the presentation of the Dorothy Sexton Mentor Award. This award is given to an individual who embodies the qualities of a mentor, including self-knowledge, a strategic vision for the nursing profession, creativity and the courage to break from traditional methods of success, communication effectiveness, and an inspirational outlook.
Chartered in 1980, Delta Mu now has more than 500 members.
