Please join YSN Visiting Scholar Jemima Dennis-Antwi, founding President of the Ghana College of Nurses & Midwives, for a talk on the important contribution Midwifery has made to vulnerable populations across the globe. Lunch will be provided!

Biography:

Jemima A. Dennis-Antwi is a registered nurse, midwife, public health nurse, Fellow of the West Africa College of Nursing, and a Foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.

As part of her work, Dr. Dennis-Antwi provided technical assistance in midwifery strengthening to 10 African countries namely Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Nigeria, Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, and Zambia. Before joining ICM, Dr. Dennis-Antwi worked with the American College of Nurse-Midwives as the Technical Advisor on the Ghana Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Initiative. She also worked with Population Council as the Technical Advisor for the US Presidential Malaria Initiative.
