Jacquelyn Taylor Presented Outstanding Research Award from International Society of Nurses in Genetics

Jackie Taylor and Margaret GreyAssociate Professor Jacquelyn Taylor, PhD, PNP-BC, RN was recently presented with the 2011 International Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG) Founders Award in recognition of outstanding genetics research and scholarship.

The purpose of the ISONG Research Award is to honor an ISONG member who has demonstrated consistent and excellent contributions to the body of nursing knowledge related to genetics/genomics and nursing. All nominees for this award demonstrate merit in the following types of research-oriented activities:

  • outstanding achievement in genetics/genomics nursing research and/or theory development.
  • performance of advocate role for genetics/genomics nursing research.
  • dissemination of genetics/genomics research through avenues such as publication in peer-reviewed nursing and healthcare literature, presentation to professional and lay audiences, and/or dissemination through publications and websites accessed by the public.
