Dr. Maggie Holland receives an R15 Academic Research Enhancement Award from the National Institute of Nursing Research

Dr. Maggie Holland, Associate Research Scientist at Yale School of Nursing, has been awarded an R15 Academic Research Enhancement Award, from the National Institute of Nursing Research. This competitive award provides partial salary support and funding for research activities for two years. Dr. Holland will examine the impact of a statewide home visiting program on birth outcomes of second children (those conceived after the child whose birth led to enrollment in the program). She will link home visiting data with Connecticut birth certificate data to create a comparison group and obtain birth outcomes for the children. Dr. Holland is a health services researcher with interests in maternal and child health services research, especially prevention programs for low-income families. Her current focus is on home visiting programs, including visit attendance & attrition and a variety of outcomes.
