Susan Hunt

Sue is a neuro critical care nurse practitioner at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is part of a team of nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants who are consulted for inpatient neurologic problems as well acute strokes in the emergency department. She is a Southern California native and has a BSN from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. After graduation she spent 11 years in various roles in the neuro/trauma ICU at UCLA Medical Center. After receiving her MSN from UCLA school of nursing in the adult/gero acute care nurse practitioner specialty she moved her three dogs and two cats 3000 miles across the country to Massachusetts to start her NP career. Prior to becoming a nurse Sue worked in a number of industries but is most proud of raising two amazing boys who are now grown. Sue’s nursing passion is working to close the psychosocial gap in the continuum of nursing care. If she hadn’t gotten into nursing Sue says she would probably be rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in a house in the country.
