Sylvia is in a Director role with oversight for two primary care, full service outpatient facilities. (Over 300 employees) At Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara county California.
Sylvia started her nursing education with an ASN from Oakwood College in Huntsville Alabama in 1998. In 1999 she completed the ASN to BSN program through University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). Sylvia returned to school to complete her Master’s in nursing in 2015 at UAH.
Sylvia’s bedside nursing experience has been in pediatric ICU and pediatric cardiac ICU, pediatric clinic, Pediatric emergency room, and pediatric radiology.
Sylvia currently is a volunteer board member for the following: Association of Radiology and Interventional Nurses as the Director of membership. Member of the board of directors for Young Audiences of Northern California, and Board member for the Red Cross Blood advisory council for Northern California.
Sylvia has a strong interest in leadership, leadership development and leadership theory.
