The Nurse Midwifery Specialty at Yale University School of Nursing recently was granted accreditation without recommendations for ten years by the Board of Review (BOR) of the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM).
In a letter addressed to Yale University President Richard Levin, the BOR noted that they had reviewed the Self-Evaluation Report (SER), the Site Visit Report (SVR), and the additional materials submitted by YSN's Nurse Midwifery Specialty.
This accreditation will remain in effect until the next review in 2020.
The BOR made note in their letter to President Levin to congratulate Teri Stone-Godena, CNM, MSN, Lecturer & Specialty Director, Nurse-Midwifery, and Holly Kennedy, Acting Midwifery Specialty Director, for their exceptional work in this process.
"The BOR commends the Yale program for its profound contributions to the profession of nurse-midwifery and women’s health for more than a half century," the letter continued.
