This fall, Yale School of Nursing will be hosting a 90th Anniversary Celebration coinciding with its annual Alumnae/i Weekend on October 4 and 5. The celebrations will take place at the School’s new home on Yale University’s West Campus.
Beginning on Friday, October 4, YSN will officially open its new building with a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony. Yale President Peter Salovey, Provost Benjamin Polak, Deputy Provost Stephanie Spangler, Chaplain Sharon Kugler, West Campus Vice President Scott Strobel, and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) will assist Dean Margaret Grey with the ceremonies. A reception and tours of the new building will follow the program.
Continuing the celebrations on Saturday, October 5, YSN will host its annual Alumnae/i Weekend. The day will be filled with events for alumnae/i from all graduation years, including an open house, the continuing education speaker panel on health care reform, lunch, decade gatherings, and the 90 Yale Nurses Banquet.
During the decade gatherings, alumnae/i will have the opportunity to gather with former classmates and other graduates from their decade to discuss a variety of topics relevant to their time at YSN.
The 90 Yale Nurses Banquet will feature a cocktail reception with Dean Grey, as well as a semi-formal dinner. The YSNAA Board of Directors identified 90 outstanding alumnae/i to showcase the years since the School’s founding. Each of the selected nurses has displayed exceptional achievements in their nursing work since their graduation from YSN.
Capacity is limited for the banquet, so register to save your space now!
