Admitted Students Day Showcases the Best of the YSN Community

April 17, 2026

On March 27, Yale School of Nursing welcomed Fall 2026 admitted students to Admitted Students Day 2026, a full-day event designed to introduce prospective students to the YSN community, programs, and resources.

Lisa Lombardo, Director of Admissions, described Admitted Students Day as a YSN community effort: “From our Enrollment, Engagement, and Student Success team to faculty, staff, and current students across campus – the collaboration was remarkable. I'm so grateful for everyone's dedication to making this such a meaningful experience for our incoming class.”

The day began with a Breakfast & Resource Fair, followed by a keynote address featuring Deputy Dean and Professor Dr. Tatiana Sadak presenting on Aging and Dying Well. One student noted, “My favorite part of the event was the keynote speaker – she really set the tone for the course of the day.”

Midday brought concurrent sessions tailored to the MSN and GEPN experiences, followed by specialty breakout sessions and simulation tours. Lunch offered a chance to connect with faculty, current students, and even Handsome Dan.

The afternoon wrapped up with a Student Support & Student Ambassador Q&A, followed by a celebratory reception. One admitted student shared: “The effort, preparation, and presentation fell nothing short of excellence.”
