The Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS), a non-profit membership association of translational scientists from the nation’s leading academic medical centers, honored its Translational Science Award recipients at Translational Science 2026.
YSN is pleased to announce that Kathleen E. Fitzpatrick Rosenbaum, PhD, MHS, RN, CCRN was recognized as a recipient of the 2026 ACTS Outstanding Trainee: Post-Doctoral Award.
Dr. Rosenbaum’s program of research uses an interdisciplinary approach to examine healthcare system factors that influence the nursing workforce, quality of care, and patient outcomes. Using both quantitative and qualitative methods, her work focuses on nurse well-being, work environment, hospital quality and safety, patient experience, nurse retention, and evaluation of quality improvement programs in nursing. She is currently studying the impact of hospital mergers on nurses, nursing care, and nurse-sensitive patient outcomes, with particular attention to the role of social determinants of health in access to care during acquisition.
ACTS presents its annual Translational Science Awards to recognize investigators for their outstanding contributions to the clinical research and translational science field. Individuals and teams are nominated by peers and colleagues and may be selected from all industry segments.
“The ACTS awards recognize talented investigators who translate their findings from the bench to bedside and ultimately into the community. Awardees represent innovation, team science, and community engagement across the translational science spectrum,” said ACTS President Allan R. Brasier, MD.
The ACTS Outstanding Trainee: Post-Doctoral Award recognizes high productivity and impact of post-doctoral work with potential to influence care or health policy.
