Faculty Award Recipients

The Yale School of Nursing is proud to recognize this year’s Faculty Award recipients for their extraordinary contributions to teaching, mentorship, research, clinical practice, and service. Each awardee exemplifies YSN’s mission through their dedication to students, patients, colleagues, and the broader nursing profession.

This year’s recipients include:

  • Elyssa Noce, recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award for Part-Time Faculty, recognized for her innovative, student-centered teaching, strong clinical mentorship, and commitment to preparing students for real-world advanced practice.
  • Ophelia Empleo-Frasier, recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award for Full-Time Faculty, honored for her engaging and compassionate teaching style, advocacy for students, and leadership in advancing gerontology education.
  • Ami Marshall, recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, recognized for her sustained leadership, community engagement, mentorship, and advocacy work on behalf of advanced practice nursing and equitable care.
  • Raquel Ramos, recipient of the Excellence in Research Award, honored for her impactful scholarship focused on health equity, collaborative research leadership, and commitment to mentoring emerging nurse scientists.
  • Marianne J. Davies, recipient of the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award, recognized for her expertise in oncology care, systems-level clinical leadership, and dedication to advancing evidence-based practice across healthcare settings.
  • Linda Ghampson, recipient of the Excellence in Mentorship Award, celebrated for her unwavering support of students, compassionate guidance, and meaningful impact on student success and wellbeing.
