Brighid Gannon

Brighid Gannon is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the Tillary Street Women’s Shelter in Brooklyn. Tillary is the largest New York City funded shelter for 200 women with chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues. Brighid also works as a psychiatric consultant at Boro Park Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, in the Hasidic Jewish community of Borough Park Brooklyn. She conducts her practice through the professional corporation she founded, Modern Psychiatric NP. She earned a BSN at New York University and an MSN at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to becoming a nurse she obtained a BA in dance and in english at Wesleyan University. Brighid is a native New Yorker who is committed to serving New York’s most vulnerable communities
