Fall 2020 applications will open for GEPN, MSN, DNP and Post Master’s Certificate in Nursing Programs after July 1.   Deadlines for all programs are FIRM. Online application and ALL supporting materials should be received on or before the appropriate deadline noted.

The Yale School of Nursing is a graduate-level program. All applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate-level degree by the fall enrollment date. Candidates are evaluated on a number of variables including: evidence of motivation, academic ability, personal understanding of and propensity for advanced practice nursing, references, interview, and potential for continued constructive use of professional education.  

All official transcripts (in their originally sealed envelopes) should be submitted to the Office of Admissions either by the applicant or sent directly from the academic institution(s). (Applicants may also send electronic official transcripts from their schools – if this option is chosen, official electronic transcripts should be sent to Transcripts from international institutions are subject to the evaluation by the credentialing agency.

Please note: an official copy of all transcripts should be mailed to YSN, and an unofficial copy of each transcript should also be uploaded to the online application.

Re-application policy

Applicants to Yale School of Nursing who have applied three times to the same program without an offer of admission will not be allowed to reapply to that program again.

YSN only enrolls new students once per calendar year, in late August.
