Nancy Reynolds, PhD, RN, C-NP, FAAN
Dr. Nancy R. Reynolds is the Independence Foundation Professor and Interim Director of Global Health at the Yale University School of Nursing. Dr. Reynolds is an internationally recognized expert in the area of illness behavior, especially medication adherence of persons living with HIV, with over 150 peer-reviewed papers and published abstracts. Dr. Reynolds has led several interdisciplinary, multi-site trials to develop and test interventions using low cost cell phone technology to extend health care services and improve health outcomes of vulnerable populations living with HIV. Recently, she has conducted projects to enhance adherence and mental health outcomes of women and children living with HIV in India and Ghana. Dr. Reynold’s is the director of an ongoing T32 training grant in chronic illness self-management (NINR), has sponsored several F31 and K awards and provided mentorship to faculty and students in the U.S., India, Ghana, Russia, Thailand, and China. Her work has been sponsored by NIH, AHRQ, USAID, and the Clinton Foundation.
Dr. Reynolds has served on multiple NIH review panels and is a standing member of the Behavioral and Social Consequences of HIV/AIDS Study Section [BSCH]. She serves on the NIH, DAIDS Cross Network Behavioral Advisory Committee (HANC), the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS (CIRA) and the Yale-China Association Health Committee. She was a founding member and former president of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care in central Ohio, an elected member of the Outcomes Committee of the National AIDS Clinical Trials Group and Chair of the Adherence Subcommittee. She was a member of the Advisory Board of the Ohio Department of Health, HIV/AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Trustee of the Yale-China Association and Fellow of the CIC Academic Leadership Program. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
