Clinical Placements
The Yale School of Nursing (YSN) strives to provide students with high-quality clinical experiences that prepare them for success as future clinicians. Clinical placements offered to students in the Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs may include telemedicine opportunities and/or out-of-state clinical rotations. Students are responsible for obtaining appropriate licensure in the applicable jurisdiction, in advance of their rotation.
Clinical placements are determined based on a variety of factors, which may include (among other factors) the availability of clinical sites, program requirements, and compliance with state and federal regulations. While YSN strives to align placements with each student’s program goals and educational needs, specific assignments are subject to change at YSN’s discretion and are not guaranteed.
