Saveena Dhall is the Associate Dean of Student Affairs at the Yale School of Nursing. At YSN, her division includes Recruitment, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Services, Academic Affairs and Career programs. Saveena works closely with the OSA staff, OSA student fellows and faculty and staff partners to provide support for the academic and co-curricular experience of all students at YSN. She brings to YSN an extensive network of campus partners to enrich student life by connecting our students to Yale University’s community resources (religious life, cultural centers, arts programming, LGBTQ resources, G&P communities within Yale’s other schools, academic support, disability resources, Yale Mental Health and Wellness programs, SHARE and much more).
Previously, she served as dean and director of the Asian and Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) at Yale for sixteen years. In addition to working with the Cultural Center, as Assistant Dean of Yale College, Saveena served as the Director of various Yale College programs including the Mellon Mays and Bouchet Undergraduate Fellowships Program, Cultural Connections, Eli Whitney Scholars Program, Family Weekend, and a variety of Yale College initiatives. Saveena’s previous professional experience includes non-profit management, social justice and community programming, graduate academic and student affairs, admissions and recruitment and consultant work. She received a B.A. from Connecticut College and a Master’s Degree in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
