Dorothy Jean Graham-Hannah

Dorothy Jean is currently the Vice President of Nursing Administration at Maimonides Medical Center located in the Borough Park Community in Brooklyn, New York with broad range responsibilities for the operational and clinical arms of the Division of Medicine, Dialysis Services, the Division of Gerontology and Nursing Resources. Dorothy Jean is a goal oriented and outcome focused nurse-leader/ administrator who has effectively led the implementation of innovative inter-professional initiatives to improve quality care and patient outcomes, improve the patient experience, improve Emergency Department throughput, and the reduction in the length of stay.  Under her leadership, hospital wide orientation has intensified its focus on improving the medical center’s market share by putting emphasis on Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence education. Her leadership in a statewide collaborative to improve pressure ulcer management catapulted an organization into leading the campaign for zero pressure ulcers in New York. Dorothy Jean’s skill set in emotional intelligence, provides the department a solid role model for self-awareness, insight, self-regulation and social skills. Dorothy Jean received her Master’s in Nursing from New York University College of Nursing, an Executive Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Baruch College in New York and she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the College of New Rochelle, New York.
