Danielle Bowie

Excellence, innovation, and leadership are the three main ideologies that have shaped Danielle (Dani) Bowie’s professional practice as an emerging nurse leader. Over the past eight years, Dani has served in a variety of professional and clinical roles. She began her nursing career as a bedside nurse on a respiratory cardiology inpatient unit, where she developed her foundational nursing practice. In 2012, Dani transitioned into a leadership role and became a nurse manager for a 27-bed respiratory cardiology unit and float pool at Providence Portland Medical Center.

During her time as a nurse manager, she was actively involved with Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives (NWone) and was elected the Portland Council Chair and Board Member. Dani served on the NWone Board and chaired the Portland Council for two years.

Currently, she is the system director of clinical resource management for Legacy Health System. Her professional responsibilities include overseeing a large and diverse Resource Pool, as well as, the central staffing office for the six Legacy Hospitals in Washington and Oregon State.

She obtained her BSN from the University of Portland as a Providence Scholar and her MSN from Vanderbilt University, with an emphasis in health system management. Dani is also a Board Certified Nurse Executive and a contributing member of NWone, AONE, and Sigma Theta Tau. She is enthusiastically involved in her community as an elected Board Member for her HOA and runs half-marathons in her free time.
