Manu Sharma

Manu Sharma is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He holds the credential of Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN) by the American Board of Transplant Certification. Currently, he works as a clinical nurse at the Comprehensive Transplant Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to his present position, Manu worked as a nurse clinician at the Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Comprehensive Transplant Unit for two years. He received his BA in biology from the Johns Hopkins University in 2005 and was awarded the Johns Hopkins University Chester Wickwire Diversity Award for promoting multicultural harmony. He obtained his BSN from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2010. He participated in an internship with Member of Parliament Bruce George of the Select Defense Committee, which introduced him to the subject of biodefense. Subsequently, he completed his MS in biotechnology with a concentration in biodefense from the Johns Hopkins University in 2012. Additionally, he demonstrated his high fluency in medical Spanish by passing the Language Line Spanish Interpreter Skills Test and he possesses three years of professional experience as a Spanish interpreter with Johns Hopkins Medicine International
