Practicing at the Cornell Scott–Hill Health Center in New Haven, Yasemin E. Turkman, MSN, MPH, APRN, is a PhD candidate and has research interests in psychosocial oncology and health disparities. Yasemin’s dissertation is an investigation on the psychosocial needs of women diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).
She has received many awards for her efforts, including the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Disparities Training Grant and the Sigma Theta Tau Rising Star of Scholarship and Research, and she is currently serving on the 2014 Scientific Program Committee of the American Psycho-Oncology Society.
