Brighid received a DNP at the Yale School of Nursing, a MSN at the University of Pennsylvania, a BSN at New York University, and a BA in Dance and in English from Wesleyan University. Brighid believes that mental health care is a human right and fundamental to our overall wellness. Her mission is to re-imagine how psychiatric care is delivered in order to make the mental health journey more effortless, kind and effective. She serves as a Clinical Advisory Board Member for the startup Nice Healthcare, has written for Forbes about mental health and entrepreneurship and has been a guest on numerous podcasts including ANA’s See You Now.  Prior to entrepreneurship, Brighid was the Associate Director of Behavioral Health at the Institute for Community Living’s (ICL) Tillary Street Women’s Shelter in Brooklyn, NY. Even though Brighid no longer works in the shelter, she has remained deeply committed to her previous nonprofit employer, ICL.  In recognition of that commitment, Brighid was honored with the 2022 ICL Hero Donor Award.  Her motto, “you have to give to get,” reflects her understanding that by contributing to the well-being of others, one can truly enrich their own life and experiences.  Brighid thrives when working in collaboration with others and is always looking to connect with other nurses and healthcare leaders.
