Dr. Cathy Lindenberg

 

Dr. Cathy LindenbergDr. Cathy Lindenberg is a nurse educator, researcher, and consultant with extensive national and international experience. She grew up in Costa Rica, received a bachelor’s degree at Case Western Reserve, an MSN and MPH at Yale University, and a Dr.P.H. at Johns Hopkins University. She has spent over 40 years working in public health. As a World Health Organization and freelance public health and nursing consultant, she has worked in 14 countries and been involved in numerous educational, service delivery, and evaluation/research projects. She has served as a tenured nursing faculty at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Emory University, Atlanta, and the University of Washington. Her research/evaluation efforts have focused on nutrition, breast-feeding, and on adolescent high risk behavior preventionShe is the Co-Founder of TeenSmart International, a non for profit that provides (JovenSalud.net) youth-centric, evidence-based online health promotion information, education, coaching and support services for Spanish speaking youth 10-24 years of age.
