Erin Ullrich, MSN, RN, CMSRN
About
Professor Ullrich is a Lecturer in Simulation at Yale School of Nursing. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut and a Master of Science in Nursing at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Her thesis explored the nexus between simulation-based education and the utilization of experiential learning theories to assess students’ self-confidence subsequently seeking to determine an increase in nursing licensure pass rates. She is committed to evidence-based pedagogical approaches that center the use of simulation-based education within nursing curriculums. She is also an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing
Research Interests
Professor Ullrich is passionate about simulation-based education and the importance of integrating innovative technologies, alongside traditional didactic methodologies to enrich students’ learning experiences and enhance their clinical competencies.
Clinical Practice
Professor Ullrich’s clinical experience encompasses a wide array of settings. She has specialty training in medical-surgical and oncological nursing, which allows her to understand the complexity of patient care from a variety of lenses. She is specialty certified in medical-surgical nursing through the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN).
