About

Jen Hill, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS, is a lecturer in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Specialty, where she joined the faculty in 2022. Jen is excited to be teaching nursing students in the pediatric nurse practitioner programs during the first and second years of specialization. Additionally, she works with students as a clinical preceptor in the area of adolescent and school -based primary care. Jen completed her undergraduate studies at Providence College and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University. She is a former member of the National Health Service Corps, completing her term of service in 2016. She has been practicing in pediatric primary care in Connecticut for 15 years. Jen started out in Pediatric Endocrinology at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center before transitioning to community health in the school-based setting. She currently oversees a health center at an all-girls boarding school in Middlebury CT, where she works as the Director of Health Services.

Clinical Practice  

Jen’s clinical interests include the integration of mental health services in the primary care setting; increasing awareness and accessibility to mental health care needs in the pediatric/adolescent population. Jen received her certification as a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist (PMHS) in the Spring of 2022 and hopes to use this added skillset to help in early identification, intervention and collaboration of care for children and adolescents with mental and behavioral health concerns.
