About
Dr. Linda Ghampson is a lecturer in Nursing Simulation, the GEPN program and the Director of the Simulation Unit at the Yale University School of Nursing. She received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Bronx Community College, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Sacred Heart University and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Regis College, Massachusetts; She holds a B. A. in Sociology from the University of Ghana as well. Linda has earned the esteemed certification of Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) from the prestigious Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
With a background in both nursing education and simulation, Linda brings a unique blend of expertise to her role, combining pedagogical theory with cutting-edge simulation technology to enhance learning outcomes. She collaborates with faculty and students to developing new simulation scenarios across the various nursing specialties in the school, with the goal of providing students with hands-on experiences that mirror real-world situations. Her passion for experiential learning is evident in her teaching philosophy, which emphasizes active participation, critical thinking, and reflection.
Her professional associations include the Association of Critical Care Nurses (ACCN), American Nurses Association (ANA), National League for Nursing (NLN), Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL).
As a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and current president of the Delta Mu Chapter, Dr. Ghampson has deep engagement with the nursing community. She actively participates in chapter events which demonstrate her dedication to advancing the nursing profession and future nurse leaders.

Research Interests
As a Simulation enthusiast, Linda strives to inspire the next generation of learners and simulation practitioners by equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their respective fields. Through her dedication in this specialty, she aims to make a lasting impact on the field of simulation education.
Dr. Ghampson is actively involved in the simulation community of the Healthcare Simulation Network of Connecticut (HSNCT) and is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among educators, practitioners, and researchers to continuously improve simulation-based education, research and practice.
Linda is an affiliate faculty at the Yale Institute of Global health and has an avid interest in climate change and nursing.
Clinical Practice
Linda’s background in nursing practice spans a myriad of healthcare settings, some of which include Critical Care and Nursing leadership. She keeps up with current trends in per diem status at the Intensive Care Unit and the Nursing leadership role of Nursing Supervisor at St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Hartford Healthcare, Bridgeport, CT.
