Linda Ghampson, MSN, RN, CHSE

About

Linda Ghampson is a lecturer in Simulation at the Yale University School of Nursing. She received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Bronx Community College and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Sacred Heart University. She holds a B. A. in Sociology from the University of Ghana.

Linda comes to YSN from her role as Skills Lab Coordinator at St. Vincent’s College in Bridgeport, CT where she used hands-on demonstration and simulation to enhance assessment skills and performance of nursing procedures for the students. In addition, Linda serves as an adjunct clinical preceptor for several area colleges.

Her professional associations include the Association of Critical Care Nurses (ACCN), American Nurses Association (ANA) and the National League for Nursing (NLN).

Linda is a Simulation enthusiast and encourages its use as an alternative process and supplement to learning, training and practice.

Clinical Practice

Linda’s background in nursing practice spans a myriad of healthcare settings, some of which include Medical-Surgical care units, Progressive care units, Home-Care nursing and Intensive care units. She keeps up with current trends in Evidence Based literature and clinical practice at the bedside in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT.
