Sarah Korpak, APRN, FNP
Sarah Korpak is a Lecturer at Yale School of Nursing and a Nurse Practitioner in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She holds extensive clinical experience across multiple acute care settings, including surgical trauma, medical-surgical nursing, post-anesthesia care, and ambulatory surgery.
Ms. Korpak earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN.Ed) from Sacred Heart University. She further advanced her education with a Master’s Degree in Science (MS, AG-ACNP) from Georgetown University.
In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, Ms. Korpak serves as a Preceptor Liaison for the Family Nurse Practitioner program, where she is responsible for coordinating clinical sites and supporting preceptors. She works closely with the Clinical Support Unit to finalize placements and address any questions related to clinical expectations.
Ms. Korpak’s professional credentials include certifications as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Educator, among others. Her service to the profession is extensive, with active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau, and involvement in various committees during her tenure at Yale School of Nursing. Ms. Korpak has received numerous awards for her clinical practice and teaching, reflecting her dedication to advancing the nursing field.
