Shaylice Meserole, PMHNP
About
Dr. Shaylice Meserole is a full-time Lecturer in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family studies. She earned a Master of Science in Education from Fordham University in Psychological Counseling and is a double degree graduate of Yale University having completed both her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
Dr. Meserole is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner that treats patients across the country and across the lifespan. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Society and American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She is the forerunner for bringing intranasal ketamine to the clinical facilities where she practices, for treatment resistant depression and continues to explore innovations in psychiatric mental health treatment to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Meserole is an active member of the New Haven community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Friend Center for Children. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and frequently engages in community conversations around trauma.
Research Interest
Dr. Meserole has focused her doctoral work on increasing access to mental health care using telehealth for underserved communities as well as increasing access and adherence to trauma focused care.
