About

Professor Siefker is a Lecturer in Simulation at Yale School of Nursing. She completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. She also completed a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Operational Leadership at Quinnipiac University.

Professor Siefker serves as both an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor for the American Heart Association and was the recipient of the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Award of Excellence. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing. Professor Siefker has utilized simulation-based education to educate healthcare professionals and is enthusiastic about simulation pedagogy.

Research Interests

Professor Siefker is passionate about simulation-based education and enhancing the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills of the future healthcare professionals she encounters.

Clinical Practice

Professor Siefker’s clinical experience encompasses a wide array of settings. She has specialty training in emergency nursing, critical care nursing, college health, trauma performance improvement, as well as forensic nursing.
