Mary Geary
Mary Carroll Geary completed her BSN at the University of Southwest Louisiana before moving with her husband to New Haven where she worked at Yale New Haven Hospital and then the Yale Psychiatric Institute. After graduating from YSN, she taught in New Jersey and served as a Chief Nurse Executive in Florida. Relocation to Los Angeles brought a major transition to a West Coast Regional VP role for a company managing rehabilitation units in hospitals. Geary later started her own consulting company focusing on operational improvement, interim executive roles, and executive coaching. In New Jersey, Geary served as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of a safety-net hospital. As President of the YSNAA she expanded mentoring programs and for many years she conducted a popular negotiation skills seminar for graduating students. Her publications include Possibilities: Insights and Wisdom from Women Who Combined Marriage, Motherhood, and High Professional Achievement (2017).
