Gina Novick PhD, CNM, has been elected to the Fellowship of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). This distinction honors service to the ACNM at a senior level and recognizes Gina’s leadership and service to midwifery. The induction will take place at the annual meeting of the ACNM in May in Savannah, Georgia.
The ACNM is the professional association that represents certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) and certified midwives (CMs) in the United States. With roots dating to 1929, it sets the standard for excellence in midwifery education and practice in the United States and strengthens the capacity of midwives in developing countries.
Gina Novick is an Associate Professor at Yale School of Nursing in the Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Specialty. She received her BA from Wesleyan University, her BSN from Columbia University, and her MSN in midwifery from Yale University. She received her PhD in 2009 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in 2011, both at Yale.
