YSN Hosts 100+ Future Nurses and Midwives for Admitted Students Day

February 27, 2024

Yale School of Nursing (YSN) welcomed more than 100 future nurses and midwives to Admitted Students Day on February 2, excitedly cramming the common areas for the largest in-person admissions preview event since before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are thrilled to bring such a talented and passionate group to campus,” said Director of Admissions Lisa Lombardo. “Their curiosity, their commitment, and their focus are what will make them outstanding healthcare clinicians, and we invited all of them to Yale to show them how far they can go in the profession.”

Attendees participated in a day full of specialty breakouts, simulation experiences, and greetings from Dean Azita Emami, PhD, MSN, BSN, RNT, RN, FAAN, and other YSN leaders. And no red carpet is complete without a visit from Handsome Dan and Public Safety service dog Heidi.
