On Tuesday, June 24, attendees came together to honor the clinical and courtesy faculty who advance YSN’s mission through precepting at the School’s annual Preceptor Appreciation Event. These dedicated professionals extend YSN’s curricula into over 500 clinical sites across the country, shaping the next generation of nursing professionals through hands-on mentorship, expertise, and commitment.
A central highlight of the event was the announcement of Courtney Vose, DNP, MBA, RN, APRN, NEA-BC, FAAN and Toby Bressler, PhD, RN, OCN, FAAN as newly appointed Dean Advisors for Clinical Partnerships. This appointment highlights the importance of an ongoing collaborative effort between Yale New Haven Hospital and YSN.
Dean Azita Emami opened the program with remarks expressing gratitude for the School’s expansive network of clinical partners. She was joined by Deputy Dean Tatiana Sadak and program chairs Laura Kierol Andrews (Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing program) and Alison Moriarty Daley (Master in Science Nursing program). They expressed heartfelt gratitude to YSN’s preceptors, noting their essential role in delivering an immersive, high-quality clinical education to YSN students.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees heard engaging presentations by preceptors and nurse leaders, including:
