Religious Observance

YSN recognizes that the academic calendar includes class meetings during religious holidays and observances. Your right to observe holidays and partake in religious observances is respected and acknowledged by YSN.  As such, if you need to miss classes due to religious observances, notify your faculty. Faculty will ensure that resources for the content provided will be made available. And per CT guidance there will be no penalty for such absences.

YSN is following the university’s guidance for return to in-person teaching for the fall semester, and our faculty have made every effort to build their courses and lectures for in-person teaching. The lack of technological capacity to record classes across every course presents an unequitable outcome.  To this end, there are various ways of ensuring that you keep abreast of the content that you miss, such as utilizing office hours with the professor, collaborating with a classmate or study group discussion.
