Teresa M. Ward, RN, PhD, FAAN

Dr. Teresa Ward earned her BSN from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales in Center Valley, PA. Dr. Ward went on to earn her MSN from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and her PhD in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco. Teresa did a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Washington, School of Nursing. Prior to obtaining her PhD, Teresa practiced as a nurse practitioner in a Pediatric Sleep Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for several years. Dr. Ward’s program of research has focused on sleep health, symptom science, and health outcomes in preschool and school-age children with and without chronic health conditions. Currently, Dr. Ward is Professor and Chair in Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing at the University of Washington School of Nursing, and co-Director of the Center for Innovation in Sleep Self-Management.
