Research Interests
Dr. Rosenbaum’s program of research examines healthcare system factors that influence the nursing workforce, quality of care, and patient outcomes. On a national and systems level, she utilizes both quantitative and qualitative methods to examine topics such as nurse well-being, the work environment, hospital quality and safety, patient experience, nurse retention, and evaluation of quality improvement programs in nursing. Currently, she is studying the impact of hospital mergers on nurses, nursing care, and nurse-sensitive patient outcomes with a particular focus on the role social determinants of health play in establishing access to care during acquisition.
