Prerequisites
Four prerequisites are required for admission for all Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) and Master of Nursing (MN) applicants.
Four prerequisite courses are required for admission to the Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) and Master of Nursing (MN) programs.
GEPN: At least two prerequisite courses must be completed, with official transcripts received, by the application deadline. The remaining prerequisites must be completed, with official transcripts received by Yale School of Nursing, no later than August 15 prior to matriculation. A grade of B (3.0) or higher is required in each prerequisite course.
MN: None of the prerequisite courses are required to be completed at the time of application. However, all four prerequisites must be completed, with official transcripts received by Yale School of Nursing, no later than December 15 prior to matriculation. A grade of B (3.0) or higher is required in each prerequisite course.
Prerequisite courses must be completed at an accredited college or university (including community colleges), either in person or online, within eight years of the application deadline. Advanced Placement (AP) credit does not satisfy prerequisite requirements.
Please note the following requirements: GEPN: You must have completed two of the four prerequisite courses at the time of application, with official transcripts submitted. All four prerequisite courses must be completed, with official transcripts received by Yale School of Nursing, by August 15 in the year you begin the program. MN: You are not required to complete any prerequisite courses at the time of application. However, all four prerequisite courses must be completed, with official transcripts received by Yale School of Nursing, by December 15 before the January (spring) semester in which you begin the program.What courses am I required to take as prerequisites to apply to the GEPN or MN program?
