Kimberly Gordon

Kimberly Gordon is a reformed accountant. She earned a bachelor of science in business administration in 1993 from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.

After spending seven years as a cost and budget accountant, she decided to pursue a career in nursing and then nurse anesthesia. Kimberly graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing in 2001 and a master of science in nursing in 2007 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is currently a faculty member at her alma mater, the Wake Forest School of Medicine Nurse Anesthesia Program, and works as needed for Piedmont Triad Anesthesia in Winston Salem.

Kimberly has always been involved in the nursing profession. First, in the North Carolina Association of Nursing Students, then in the North Carolina Nurses Association and most recently as President of the North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She loves talking about nursing leadership, professionalism and political involvement to anyone who will listen. Kimberly wishes that every nurse understood the powerful impact that they have on their communities, colleagues and the healthcare system. She believes that nurses working together could, quite literally, change the world.
